The main objective was to empower parents of the children
living with disabilities in social economic activities since most of them live
in a poor situation.
Most of the parents lack financial help due to the above
mentioned situation and some (women) were abandoned by their husbands especially when they get birth to child with disability and others are being
denied by their families.
Ms. Prisca Mwakasendile, facilitated them to be able to start their own small businesses so they could be able to get income and run their families. The attended parents were divided into three (3) groups of thirty (30) people per each group. Each group submitted their needs to the YDCP’s management for further process.
